• Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and material lists for overhead and underground electric distribution projects.
• Perform engineering calculations such as structural analysis of poles, conductor sizing, voltage drop, and transformer sizing.
• Ensure all designs adhere to client standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements including the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to meet project objectives and deadlines.
• Prepare and submit permit applications to various agencies.
• Process information collected during site visits to gather information and verify field conditions to be used for design activities.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing any design-related issues that may arise.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, from initial assignment to completion.

• An associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering technology, drafting, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of three years of experience in electric utility distribution design.
• Must have distribution experience.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, GIS software, and other design tools.
• Strong knowledge of electric distribution infrastructure and construction techniques.
• Familiarity with NESC and other relevant industry standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Electrical Detailer Assistant Responsibilities:

• Providing high-quality drafting and detailing support for electrical substation systems within the electric utility industry.
• Responsible for preparing and modifying detailed design drawings, layouts, and construction documents in accordance with client standards, project specifications, and industry regulations.

• Bachelor’s Degree in drafting technology or related field and 2 years hands-on experience in electrical utility design, specifically related to electrical substation systems.
• Or an Associate Degree and 3 years hands-on experience in electrical utility design, specifically related to electrical substation systems.
• Or a High School Diploma/GED and mins 4 years hands-on experience in electrical utility design, specifically related to electrical substation systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Experience producing accurate, detailed drawings for substation equipment, layouts, grounding, conduit, and electrical plans.
• Strong understanding of utility standards, drafting best practices, and quality control procedures.

The Electrical Designer Assistant will assist in various phases of planning, site evaluations, analytical designs, report preparation, specifications, and preparation of proposal and construction documentation and electrical plans as part of a project team.

Electrical Designer Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing various electrical project designs, including creating electrical schematics, grid plan layouts, electrical power systems, lighting systems, protection and controls, and site and facility design.
• Follow all company, client, and project design and drafting standards.
• Assist with the setup of electrical CAD configuration and procedures according to project requirements at the beginning of a project for the electrical design team.
• Assist in preparing engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information (verbal instructions and notes) using CAD software programs.
• Assist with a full range of drawing production work, including problem analysis, design layout, and calculations on non-routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity.
• Assist with a variety of assignments using prescribed methods and standard techniques, including drawing sequence and presentation, sizing various system components, and refining rough sketches.
• Assist with initial rough designs or sketches and redlines or mark-ups on ongoing projects.
• Assist with analyzing reports, drawings, and tests to plan and design projects.
• Apply design codes and specifications related to design requirements.
• Complete and review design drawings within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Perform project tasks and assignments within budgeted hours and deadlines.
• Incorporate schedules, budgets, and project criteria into electrical design and layouts.
• Organize and maintain all revisions of project drawings, plot files, and project-related information in a logical and well-structured manner.

One Tech Engineering is searching for an Electrical Construction Supervisor for a position located near Earth, Texas. The Electrical Construction Supervisor will oversee and inspect EPC contractor work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 7–10 years of experience in Electrical Construction oversight.

• Oversight of electrical construction activities.
• Perform quality inspections using ArcGIS / Survey123 and inspection templates.
• Verify EPC contractor work meets contract and design requirements.
• Document inspection results and findings in the company systems.
• Participate in daily Plan of the Day (POD) meetings.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 5–7 years of structural engineering experience.

• Lead and oversee heavy structural steel and reinforced concrete work, including staged in-water installations.
• Coordinate with and ensure compliance on projects regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
• Serve as the on-site technical liaison, resolving field issues and ensuring construction quality and adherence to design specifications.

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have Journeyman Substation Electrician experience.

• Deliver engaging, classroom-based instruction for substation training programs.
• Facilitate multi-week training sessions for substation personnel.
• Review and prepare instructional materials in advance of training sessions.
