Material Coordinator

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Project Coordinator for a position located in in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Denver, Colorado; or Amarillo, Texas. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for processing drawings, RFI submittals and project documentation, coordination on all our new build projects within energy supply’s strategic projects group; new wind farms, solar projects, repowers and other major capital projects.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate must have 2-4 years’ experience being or working on a construction job site.

• Performing email correspondence, and utilizing OneNote to track the submittals, manage when the due dates are for information to go back to the suppliers.
• Responsible for staying on top of the drawings; routing to a group of people who have them.
• Will be working away from their desk, getting things off the printer to prepare packages to support the substation and transmission groups.
• Will be in charge of sending project documents to construction sites.
• Gathers, analyzes, translates and delivers information in clear, concise and meaningful formats based on specific project and/or program requirements and according to established project management standards.
• Provides the project manager support and assistance in scheduling, documentation, communication and cost management.
• Updates the project plan.
• Assists in information collection and validations.
• Provides input to project research information.
• Facilitates collaborative documents and data stores.
• Helps prepare status reports and presentations.
• May coordinate the activities of a project sub team and/or project activities to the extent those efforts

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Department Assistant for a position located in Neenah, Wisconsin. The Department Assistant will provide administrative support for Fabrication and Quality Fabrication to ensure continuity of daily department functions and operations by collaborating to provide and present department information. 

The candidate must be a U.S. citizen or a green card holder; the position is not eligible for sponsorship. The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and 3 years’ administrative/clerical experience.

Local candidates preferred or open to relocation. This is not a remote position.

Department Assistant Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the dissemination of information to the department and project teams through various methods of communication.
• Resolve questions regarding the department; research and provide appropriate answers.
• Assist in determining and ordering supplies required for the department.
• Monitor and maintain the fabrication welder and QC inspector qualification database.
• Review quality control inspection records for accuracy and completeness for fabrication projects.
• Maintain and control the fabrication quality inspection database.
• Assist the inspectors as needed by performing data entry of completed spools and associated non-destructive testing reports.
• Work with 3rd party subcontractors (Coatings, Pre/PWHT) to obtain reports for completed services.
• Review reports for completeness and enter data into the quality inspection database. Assemble the documentation into the project turnover.
• Maintain and update quality copy of fabrication drawings for documentation purposes and project turnover package.
• Prepare and upload quality related turnover documents for customer submittal on a continuous basis.
• Responsible for handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Developing and implementing business initiatives, procedures, and budgets for the department.
• Monitor department deadlines and support presentation of monthly progress reports including tracking action items and progress updates.
• Plan, coordinate and facilitate on-site and off-site meetings for the department. This may include department orientation and training, management meetings, periodic reviews, etc.
• Coordinate department related issues and complaints, such as operational resources, workstations, space assignments and supplies, and follow up that resolution has been obtained.
• Prepare ASME and Canadian jurisdictional code forms for projects as needed. These may include but are not limited to P4, P4A, U1, TSASK, ABSA, etc.
• Coordinate with the Company insurance representative for signature and certification of required forms.

Requirements of the Department Assistant:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, and minimum 3 years’ administrative/clerical experience.
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint is required.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate accuracy, reliability, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels within an organization and with others outside of the organization (i.e. clients, vendors, business partners, community leaders).

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Senior Project Controls Specialist for a position located in either Wallingford, Connecticut; Newton, Massachusetts; Atlanta, Georgia; or Houston, Texas. The Senior Project Controls Specialist will lead project controls processes and consult with the project management team to ensure client satisfaction.  

The candidate must be a US Citizen or a green card holder, the position is not eligible for sponsorship. The candidate should have at least 7 years of direct project controls experience.

• Analyze data, logs, and reports in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software or other tools.
• Validate proper Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) is utilized.
• Develop effective scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flow reports and forecasts for multiple projects.
• Develop, implement, and manage the reporting data warehouse to produce valuable program controls reports and data for multiple large projects.
• Provide leadership and training to team members ensuring the resolution of difficult project control issues.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with existing and potential clients, customers, and contractors.
• Responsible for engineering, procurement, and construction planning, scheduling, logistics and cost control.
• Serve as a point of contact for technical questions from the project team.
• Validate the accuracy of cost management and forecast reporting.
• Interface with the Project Management Team and Accounting Department to review project costs and contingency costs and support external audits.
• Review upstream (prime contract) / downstream (purchase orders & subcontract) change orders.
• Analyze cash flow reports.
• Lead the presentation of Project Controls reporting.
• Validate schedule progress.
• Analyze and evaluate schedule management involving the critical path method of scheduling techniques, estimating, project cost management, forecasting and document control.
• Perform schedule what-if scenarios.
• Validate the accuracy of earned value management system reporting.
• Analyze progress measurement.
• Analyze progress curves.
• Identify and oversee the Risk Management process.
• Perform quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 7 years of direct project controls experience. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• Experience working in the Utility Industry (Electrical transmission and distribution) is required.
• Experience with critical path scheduling, project cost management, estimating, Earned Value Management, and document control required.
• Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 required.
• Ability to facilitate and produce detailed construction schedules and interface those construction schedules with engineering and procurement activities preferred.
• Ability to develop, maintain, and report CPI and SPI key performance indicators is required.

• Assist with time entry for field craft payroll weekly.
• Assist with verifying time entered into jobsite badging system and advise on corrections as needed.
• Assist with submitting and obtaining craft correction paychecks.
• Assist with data entry into jobsites IRA tracking log.
• Assist with adding apprentice information in Baker Tilly database
• Assist with new hire paperwork and ensure accuracy and completion prior to sending to payroll.
• Assist with general document control processes.
• Assist with UPS/FedEx deliveries at the office and ensure they get to the shipper.
• Assist with managing the office supplies and order as needed.
• Assist with miscellaneous event and training set up.
