The Substation Construction Inspector will be responsible for verifying all work performed by the prime construction contractor complies with our construction standards and the engineering prints.

Candidates must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate must have at least 5 years of substation construction experience.

Substation Construction Inspector Responsibilities:

• Responsible for capturing any field changes to the design.
• Responsible for communicating properly to the responsible parties within the Company on a routine or daily basis.

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Senior Site Safety & Health Specialist for a position located in Houston, Texas. The Senior Site Safety & Health Specialist will be responsible for leading and implementing project-specific safety policies and procedures, and providing professional Safety & Health leadership to the project management team in a heavy construction environment.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or Construction Management, and 5+ years of high voltage experience in overhead transmission and distribution, and substations.

• Manage the Site Safety & Health program deliverables as defined by the Corporate Safety & Health Department of while responding to questions and/or concerns related to site-specific safety and health compliance issues in a timely manner.

• Manage the on-site Safety & Health program directly with the client Safety & Health Department to ensure collaboration on any site safety & health issues, coordination of preventative measures, and building working relationships with project staff and each subcontractor safety representative to ensure proper compliance is maintained. 
• Manage project Safety & Health walk-through assessments.
• Review all assessment findings with appropriate parties. 
• Follow up by documenting the items which require immediate correction and ensure that these items are corrected in a timely manner.

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Superintendent for a position located in Springfield, Ohio. The T&D Superintendent is responsible for field operations on the assigned project(s) in order to achieve safe, timely and profitable completion of each project.

• Plans, organizes, and supervises specific portions of construction work for an assigned area of a construction project.
• Maintains continuity of job progress and maximizes efficiencies related to the assigned area.
• Responsible for the oversight of the following project work activities: high voltage transmission lines, transmission line steel and wood structures, drilled piers, spread footings, grounding, environmental requirements, substation equipment, substation structures, substation electrical, and substation controls.
• Responsible for overall supervision of construction effort, which includes: safety, productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, materials management, scheduling, engineering, and contractual performance of the project.
• Responsible for subcontractor contractual compliance on designated T&D construction related activities.

• Assess future work activities and identify any concerns with work plans by utilizing subcontractors 3-week look ahead report.

• Verify material deliveries meet specifications and are being stored properly, and required preventative maintenance and/or temporary heating is being performed by the subcontractor (this potentially is coordinated with the Materials Manager).
• Coordinate with the QA/QC Manager to verify all welders on site are qualified to weld on the project.
• Witness all equipment setting and alignment.
• Walk down all systems prior to, during, and post hydrostatic testing to verify compliance with drawings and specifications and signing off on completed system testing and restoration.
• Develop punch lists of items out of compliance or not completed.
• Verify the most current drawing revisions are being used in the field.
• Understand and execute the project scope and any changes that develop. Ensure field change orders are executed.
• Oversee craft supervision and project staffing as required.

The Construction Manager Assistant will assist the Construction Project Manager, Project Manager, Site Manager, and/or the Engineer Procure Construct (EPC) Project Manager or Program Manager with day to day management of project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, proposals, estimates, documentation, turnover, client interface, field-based activities, and other duties required to execute Engineer Procure Construct (EPC) projects, construction management, and program management ventures.

• Assist with the development of project labor agreements with building trades as required.
• Assist with onboarding of craft/field supervision as required.
• Analyze composite crew rates to determine labor and equipment costs.
• Work with field operations/craft hr team to appropriately staff projects.
• Analyze and monitor labor burdens including craft classifications, benefits and labor laws.
• Maintain accurate craft classifications and craft progression records.
• Assist with upholding standards of craft competency and training.
• Estimate, forecast and manage craft install unit rates, production rates to ensure earned value, schedule, change management and ensure cost metrics are met.
• Assist with applicable craft training.
• Manage construction equipment to ensure adequate inventory to complete projects.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
• A minimum of 3 years relevant construction experience is required.
• Experience with Water, Transmission, and/or Distribution projects preferred.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access).
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Multiple years of experience on construction project sites or executing program management in the industries of aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, transportation, or water is preferred.
• A basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
