Project Manager Jobs Minneapolis
A project manager's main job is to organize people and manage several different tasks in order to reach a specific goal. What that project or goal might be can vary wildly. For example, it might be publishing a report or organizing a conference; it could be seeing a construction project to completion, or executing an interior design scheme. Regardless of the project at hand, all managers share some universal attributes.
All focus on managing people, for one thing, and all require a broad view of the individual tasks that need to be accomplished in order for the goal to be reached. Much of a project manager’s job involves setting a master plan of action, then making sure that all the pieces are in place to see that plan through to completion.
In the end, project managers are leaders who organize action in a particular direction, oftentimes with an appointed team. They get things done.
Some industries that use project managers include:
- Oil & Gas
- Electrical utilities
- Power plants
- Wind farms
- Architectural & Engineering Firms
- Land development
