One Tech Engineering is searching for an E&C Engineer for a position located near Earth, Texas. The E&C Engineer will oversee and contribute to large-scale renewable projects, including solar and wind projects.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 3+ years of electrical engineering experience with 2-3 years specifically in the renewable generation project space.
E&C Engineer Responsibilities:- Provide electrical engineering expertise with a primary focus on reviewing project drawings, evaluating technical submittals, and managing Requests for Information (RFIs) across multiple renewable energy projects.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and appropriately addressed through submittals and RFIs.
- Review and evaluate engineering drawings, studies, calculations, and technical analyses to verify compliance with project specifications, design requirements, and industry standards.
- Identify and communicate variances from company master specifications and coordinate internal approvals with the appropriate engineering teams.
- Support construction activities by serving as a technical resource for field personnel, answering electrical engineering questions, clarifying design intent, and assisting with troubleshooting efforts.
- Interpret engineering and construction drawings to ensure installation activities align with approved project designs and specifications.
- Review, resolve, and manage RFIs, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and other technical issues that arise during project execution.
- Monitor construction compliance with engineering designs, contract requirements, and project specifications.
- Work closely with project engineers and cross-functional teams throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, from planning and design review through construction and commissioning support.
- Provide both office-based engineering review and field-based construction support as project needs require.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3+ years of electrical engineering experience with 2-3 years specifically in the renewable generation project space (construction or engineering design).
- Previous experience working with utilities, EPC contractors, or engineering/design firms supporting renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of or familiarity with NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), RFIs (Requests for Information), and the ability to understand, interpret, and manage contract scope.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with ProjectWise, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Procore preferred.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or an Engineers-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
