One Tech Engineering is searching for an E&C Engineer for a position located near Earth, Texas. The E&C Engineer will be overseeing and contributing to large-scale wind projects.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 9+ years of civil engineering experience with 5-7 years specifically in renewable generation.

E&C Engineer Responsibilities:  
  • Provide civil engineering expertise across multiple projects, with a focus on reviewing project drawings and managing Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Evaluate engineering submittals, including drawings, studies, calculations, and technical analyses, to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements and resolve technical issues.
  • Review and interpret design drawings to ensure construction activities align with approved engineering designs.
  • Identify and communicate variances from company master specifications and coordinate internal approvals as required.
  • Manage and resolve RFIs, non-conformance requests, and other construction-related technical inquiries.
  • Provide technical support during construction by answering civil engineering questions and clarifying design intent.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving civil engineering issues that arise in the field.
  • Monitor construction activities to verify compliance with design drawings, project standards, and engineering requirements.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support project planning, design review, and construction execution.
  • Support quality assurance efforts by ensuring technical documentation and construction practices meet established standards.
  • Participate in project reviews, inspections, and field visits as needed to support successful project delivery.

Requirements of the E&C Engineer:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 9+ years of civil engineering experience with 5-7 years specifically in the renewable generation project space (construction or engineering design).
  • Previous experience working with utilities, EPC contractors, or engineering/design firms supporting renewable energy projects.
  • Knowledge of or familiarity with NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), RFIs (Requests for Information), and the ability to understand, interpret, and manage contract scope.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ProjectWise, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Procore preferred.
  • SAP experience is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or an Engineers-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
