One Tech Engineering is searching for an Engineer for a position located in Denver, Colorado. The Engineer will support Project Managers and implement QA/QC processes for high-risk projects at power plants.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 3-7 years of related industrial, utility, oil & gas, or power generation experience.
- Develop and maintain project-specific quality management plans.
- Review project plans, schedules, specifications, and quality documentation.
- Conduct field inspections, installation walkdowns, and contractor oversight to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor construction activities and identify quality defects or non-conformances.
- Coordinate shop visits, testing activities, and issue resolution.
- Track quality findings and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform quality audits and prepare field inspection reports.
- Support commissioning and startup activities to ensure systems are installed and functioning as designed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or a degree in Construction Management.
- 3–7 years of experience in industrial, utility, oil & gas, or power generation environments.
- Experience with QA/QC processes, including inspections, testing procedures, and identifying quality deficiencies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam and Procore is preferred.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, and self-management skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification preferred.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma or other Lean certification is a plus.
- Quality Auditor certification is a plus.
