Civil Designer Assistant

One Tech Engineering is searching for a Project Engineer for a position located in St. Louis, Missouri. The Project Engineer will coordinate and lead projects from the conceptual stage through engineering, procurement, construction, and ultimately closeout

Project Engineer Responsibilities:

• Lead multiple concurrent projects, including overhead transmission and substation project,s ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV
• Work with technical teams to understand interdependencies of projects and establish an overall construction sequence for interrelated projects
• Maintain detailed project financials with support from the project team
• Maintain a detailed project schedule with support from the project scheduling team
• Implement a project management lifecycle process to document and execute projects in a consistent, standardized fashion
• Leverage technical education and background to effectively manage projects
• Serve as project point of contact with the Owner regarding efforts such as client coordination, strategic planning, scope management, and budgeting
• Provide overall management of projects, including but not limited to siting, environmental, permitting, planning, estimating, engineering, right-of-way acquisition, project controls, procurement, constructability reviews, material management, and construction management

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university and a minimum 3 years of detailed engineering design experience for design-only and/or EPC projects
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant T&D experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to lead team members and drive to project deliverables.

• Act as a liaison between the construction contractors performing the work and the Project Manager. Support/handle the day-to-day functions of what's taking place in addition to being mindful of scope, schedule and budget.
• Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects, projects that are small to moderate in scope, risk, and/or organizational span, including subprojects of larger, more complex projects.
• Manages multiple projects and orchestrates the results to achieve a broad program goal.
• Plans and implements schedules and monitors program from inception through delivery ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Defines and reports program status, development issues and success metrics. Identifies and monitors areas of risk.
• Continuously seeks opportunities to improve cost, performance and schedule.
• Manages to budgets. Facilitates communication and coordination among projects.
• Manages stakeholder engagement and satisfaction.
• Maintains awareness of trends, business conditions and internal process and practices impacting component projects or overall program.
• Adheres to standard project management methodologies and reporting techniques.

• 5-10+ years of experience in managing substation construction projects
• Prior field experience as a substation journeyman
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and practices 
• Proficiency with MS office.
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Valid driver’s license 

One Tech Engineering is searching for an Electrical Engineer for a position located in Wallingford, Connecticut; Newton, Massachusetts; Conshohocken, Pennsylvania; or Morristown, New Jersey. The Electrical Engineer will responsible for the design of high voltage electrical substations.

The candidate must be a US Citizen or a green card holder, the position is not eligible for sponsorship. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related degree and 3 years of electrical engineering experience.

Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:

• Preparation of proposals and scope development, including conceptual designs and execution plans.
• Prepare engineering cost and labor estimates and schedules.
• Physical substation design including yard layouts, plans, sections and details, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, interior and exterior raceways, auxiliary AC/DC power systems, and associated bills of material.
• Protection and control design including panel arrangements, one lines/single lines, three lines, AC schematics, DC elementaries, equipment wiring and relay panel wiring.
• Preparing calculations and reports for engineering studies. (grounding, lightning protection, AC/DC load studies, etc.)
• Preparing equipment specifications for procurement and/or factory acceptance testing.
• Coordinating design activities with other departments. (Civil/Structural, Networks, Transmission Line, others.)
• Providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members.
• Regularly meeting with and corresponding with clients or outside personnel.
• Performing quality reviews for other engineers and designers.
• Providing short-term field support during construction.
• Supporting business development and marketing initiatives.
• Other areas of involvement may include relay settings, 3D/intelligent design, or industry/professional technical committee involvement.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree and 3 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Or a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or related Engineering Technology and successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and 3 years of electrical engineering experience required.
• Consulting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The Industrial Engineering Technician supports and maintains essential systems across Colorado, including SCADA, DSL circuits, and fiber optics, to ensure the reliability of the electrical grid.

Industrial Engineering Technician Responsibilities:  

• Utilize ServiceNow to receive, prioritize, and respond to daily service tickets.

• Working knowledge of SAP.
