One Tech Engineering is searching for a GIS Analyst for a position located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, or Denver, Colorado. The GIS Analyst will focus on wildfire mitigation initiatives and GIS data quality assurance.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 3–5 years of GIS experience (utility/critical infrastructure preferred).
- Update and maintain communication status for field devices (e.g., reclosers, capacitors).
- Perform quality assurance (QA) on communications data and geospatial datasets.
- Validate and reconcile communications and GIS data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Support ADMS v39 upgrade testing activities.
- Participate in OMS testing and wildfire-related system testing.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Wildfire Engineering, Control Room Operations, and point-to-point testing groups.
- Coordinate with external vendors to support system integrations and testing.
- Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and verification of system functionality related to wildfire mitigation efforts.
- Ensure data integrity and operational readiness across GIS and communications systems.
- 3–5 years of GIS experience (utility/critical infrastructure preferred)
- Ability to speak competently about engineering diagrams (e.g., substation one‑line and feeder diagrams).
- Fluent in Microsoft Office (including SharePoint).
- Experience with integrated GIS software.
- Experience with version‑based GIS editing (versioning / change sets).
- Python and SQL are nice to have.
- Basic SCADA familiarity is a nice-to-have.
