One Tech Engineering is searching for a GIS Analyst for a position located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, or Denver, Colorado. The GIS Analyst will focus on wildfire mitigation initiatives and GIS data quality assurance.

The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 3–5 years of GIS experience (utility/critical infrastructure preferred).


GIS Analyst Responsibilities:  
  • Update and maintain communication status for field devices (e.g., reclosers, capacitors).
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) on communications data and geospatial datasets.
  • Validate and reconcile communications and GIS data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Support ADMS v39 upgrade testing activities.
  • Participate in OMS testing and wildfire-related system testing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Wildfire Engineering, Control Room Operations, and point-to-point testing groups.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to support system integrations and testing.
  • Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and verification of system functionality related to wildfire mitigation efforts.
  • Ensure data integrity and operational readiness across GIS and communications systems.

Requirements of the GIS Analyst:
  • 3–5 years of GIS experience (utility/critical infrastructure preferred)
  • Ability to speak competently about engineering diagrams (e.g., substation oneline and feeder diagrams).
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office (including SharePoint).
  • Experience with integrated GIS software.
  • Experience with versionbased GIS editing (versioning / change sets).
  • Python and SQL are nice to have.
  • Basic SCADA familiarity is a nice-to-have.
