One Tech Engineering is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer for a position located in Neillsville, Wisconsin. The Manufacturing Engineer leads the inspection team to ensure high-quality output while also supporting process improvement, new product introduction, and manufacturing system development.
The candidate must be a US Citizen or a green card holder, the position is not eligible for sponsorship. The candidate should have 4-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and/or quality inspection.
Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
- Lead new product introductions and design-for-manufacturability reviews with customers.
- Apply standard and advanced manufacturing and quality techniques to develop and optimize processes.
- Support reverse engineering efforts by generating accurate blueprints from customer-supplied parts.
- Lead or participate in cost reduction initiatives and feasibility studies as part of cross-functional teams.
- Use lean tools and techniques to identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure engineering documentation meets company standards and guidelines.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and manufacturing methods to improve agility, cost, and quality.
- Monitor and report project progress, expenditures, and findings.
- Supervise quality technicians and inspectors, providing training on inspection methods and tools.
- Investigate root causes of defects and lead the development of corrective actions.
- Develop and enforce inspection policies, schedules, and procedures.
- Maintain and improve relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering defect-free products and overseeing third-party inspections.
- Support audits and maintain the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
- Conduct hiring, discipline, and performance appraisals for quality personnel.
- Develop a cohesive and motivated team culture that encourages accountability and excellence.
- Schedule department team members effectively to support production and inspection needs.
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration and build effective working relationships across facilities.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field preferred; associate degree with extensive experience considered.
- 4-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and/or quality inspection.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and applying GD&T, tolerance analysis, and statistical tools.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems such as Visual Enterprise or uniPoint.
- Demonstrated experience in lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action processes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills across multiple organizational levels.
- Capable of resolving technical and operational issues independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within defined timelines.
